CloneGen is an AI identity model platform for creators. You upload 3 photos of yourself (or pick traits to generate an AI model from scratch), then use that model to generate new images and videos of yourself in any scene, outfit, or style — all from a text prompt. It combines identity-preserving image generation, video generation, and reference-based recreation in a single workspace. EU-hosted, billed in EUR, GDPR-compliant.

Three photos: a close-up of your face, a portrait (head and shoulders), and a full-body shot. That is the entire setup. If you would rather not upload photos at all, you can instead pick visual traits (age, hair, body, style) and CloneGen generates the model portraits for you with AI. Either path ends with a trained model you can use for all generation types.

About 3 minutes total. Photo upload takes under a minute, and the background pipeline that processes your 3 photos into a usable identity model typically finishes within 2 minutes. You can close the tab during processing — CloneGen will finish the work in the background and the model will be ready next time you open the app.

No. Your uploaded photos are used only to build your private identity model and to run generations that you explicitly request. CloneGen does not share your uploads with any third-party dataset or public training corpus. You can delete your model, your uploads, and your generations at any time from your account, and we permanently remove them from our storage within 30 days of account deletion in line with GDPR.

Prompt to Image generates a brand-new image of your AI model from a text description alone — good for "photo of me in a black leather jacket on a rooftop at sunset". Identity Recreation takes a reference image (any scene, meme, or photo you drop in) and re-renders it with your model's face replacing whichever face is already there. Use Prompt to Image when you know what you want to say but not what it looks like; use Identity Recreation when you have a specific reference and want to "be in it".

Yes. Cancellation is one click from your account page and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access and your remaining credits until that date. Unused credits carry over between renewals as long as your subscription is active — they only expire if you let the subscription lapse completely.

Yes. CloneGen is a German-registered, EU-hosted platform. The privacy policy explicitly implements GDPR Articles 15–21 (access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection) and names a German supervisory authority as the complaint destination. Billing is in EUR via Stripe and PayPal. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure, with payment records retained only as long as German tax law requires. No, not while your subscription is active. Credits from a monthly subscription carry over indefinitely as long as you keep renewing — unused credits stack up in your account. One-time credit packs never expire while your account is open. Credits only become inaccessible if your subscription lapses completely or you close your account.

Yes. You own the generations you create — CloneGen grants you a broad usage license covering personal, commercial, editorial, and advertising use. The one restriction is that you cannot use generations to impersonate or defame real third parties without their consent, and you cannot use CloneGen to generate content depicting minors. Every new account gets free credits on sign-up — enough to create a model and run several generations before you need to pay anything. No credit card is required at sign-up. After the free credits run out, you can either buy a one-time credit pack or subscribe to a monthly plan (Starter €29, Growth €79, Scale €199) for the best per-credit rate.

For model photos: JPG, PNG, and WebP, up to 100 MB per file. For reference videos (used with Video Recreate): MP4, MOV, and WebM. CloneGen also ships a free file converter at /convert that handles .MOV → .MP4 conversion and visually-lossless image compression (JPG, PNG, WebP) if you need to prepare a file before uploading.

There is an opt-in spicy tier for adult content, gated behind an explicit content-preference toggle. It is off by default. The spicy tier routes through different models than the safe tier and has its own acceptable use restrictions — no minors, no non-consensual impersonation, no illegal content. Most users stay on the safe tier, which covers everything from editorial and fashion to fitness and lifestyle content.
